SIGNIFICANT FORMER STUDENTS
 
1. Ph. D. Jovan CVIJIC (1865-1927). At the end of 1884 at the studies of medicine in Belgrade he met his ex-professor of geography, Vladimir Karic. During their long walk around Kalemegdan, the professor made Cvijic choose geographical sciences. In his studies in Vienna he got wide education and traveled tirelessly through our countries he assembled precious data about the region and wrote his famous work “Das Karstphenomen” and defended it as a doctor’s thesis in 1893. In the same year, in the age of 28, he became the regular professor at the university. Studing Balcanic settlements and people and their economical and spiritual characheristics.

He published his work “Anthropogeographical problems of the Balcan peninsula” in 1902. At the beginning of the First World War he went abroad and tought about the Balcan peninsula on Sorbon. In defence of the interests of Yugoslav people he published “The Balcanic issues”.
Cvijic’s contribution in geography, geology, technology, history, sociology, ethnopsychology is of great impotance in our science. For his huge contribution he was elected member of about thirty international academies and science assotiations and he was highly decorated twenty times.

2. Ph. D. Zoran AVRAMOVIC, (1953), graduated from the Electro-technical faculty in Belgrade where he got his Ph. D.

3. Ph. D. Slobodan ALEKSIC, (1938), gradueted fron the Faculty of Medecine in Novi Sad. He got his Ph .D. from Medecine faculty in Novi Sad 1977.

4. Ph. D. Zivan ARSENIC, (1952), graduated from the Faculty of Technics in Belgrade. He got his Ph. D. in 1986.

5. Ph. D. Mihailo ADZIC, (1930), completed his studies of maths at the Sciences faculty in Belgrade. His further education he continued at Sorbon in Paris where he got his Ph. D. He works as a professor at the University of Sorbon.

6. Ph. D. Milorad BERTOLINO, (1929-1981), graduated from the Science faculty in Belgrade. He defended his Ph. D.

7. Ph. D. Vera BOJIC, (1937) made her postdiplomic studies in Bon where she got her Ph. D. She worked as a lector of Serbian languange at the Universuty of Bon.

8. Ph. D. Ivanko Bojic (1944), graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb; obtained his Ph. D. title in Belgrade 1991.

9. Ph. D. Miodrag Vidovic (1928), graduated from the Faculty of Geology; obtained his Ph. D. title in 1963.

10. Ph. D. Stojan Gligoric (1932), graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade; obtained his Ph. D. title in 1971.

11. Ph. D. Slobodan Guberinic (1936), graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade; obtained his Ph. D. title in 1990; works at “Mihailo Pupin” Insitute; part-time professor at the Faculty of Transport ant Trafic Engineering.

12. Ph. D. Ivko Dimitric (1957), graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in Belgrade; obtained his Ph. D. title in Michigan, USA in 1989; work at State University of Pennsylvania in Uniontown, USA.

13. Ph. D. Radoslav Dimitric (1955), graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in Belgrade; obtained his Ph. D. title in the USA; teaches at Berkly University.

14. Ph. D. Anka Drzic (1938), graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry in Belgrade; obtained her Ph. D. title in 1981; works at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade.

21. Ph. D. Milan Jevtic (1940), graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade- the section of Technical Physics. He took his Ph. D. in 1977. He works both in the Institute for Physics and in the centre for Applied and Technical Physics in Belgrade. He works as a regular professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade for physical electronic.

22. Ph. D. Stevan Jevtic (1927), finished his studies at the Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade. He specialized the studies at the universities in Italy, Denmark, Sweden and Germany as a scholarship holder of the OUN. After he had got his D. Sc. degree in 1962, he continued his studies in France.

23. Ph. D. Natalija Jovanovic (1923), attended the University in Damask and the American university in Beyrut. She got her Ph. D. at Belgrade university. She is a professor at the Faculty of Forestry in Belgrade.

24. Ph. D. Zoran Keserovic (1959), graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad. His doctoral thesis was completed in 1993. He works at the Institute for wine-growing, fruit-growing and horticulture at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad.

25. Ph. D. Ivan Kolaric (1952), graduated from the Faculty of Arts in Belgrade where he completed his doctoral thesis. Now he works as a professor at the Teaching college in Uzice.

26. Ph. D. Jelena Kocovic (1955), graduated from the Faculty of Ecomics in Belgrade. She got her Ph. D. in 1988. She is employed at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade.

27. Ph. D. Ljubisa Krstic (1943), graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade. He finished his microbiology specialisation at VMA in Belgrade.

28. Ph. D. Dragoslav Ljubic (1954), graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics- the section for General Mathematics and Mathematical structure in Belgrade. He attended doctoral studies in Seattle, America. Since 1989 he has been lecturer on Group for Geometry on Faculty of Mathematics in Belgrade.

29. Ph. D. Mirko Marinkovic (1936), graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo. He won his Ph. D. in 1982. He worked at Intendant Administration SSNO and as a teacher at Army-ecomical academy, Control-headquarters academy and in war school.

30. Ph. D. Vladimir Micanovic (1930), graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade. He got his Ph. D. at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade in 1977.He works as a teacher at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade and as a surgeon at a clinic in Belgrade.

31. Ph. D. Momcilo Mihailovic (1934), graduated in 1958 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medecine. He studied post-docoral studies in Getenborg. Now he works as a regular professor of biochemistry and he is a head of Group for Physiology and Biochemistry at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Belgrade.

32. Ph. D. Zorka Obradovic-Pejakovic (1929-1993), graduated in 1957 from the Faculty of Mining and Geology in Belgrade. She obtained her Ph. D. at the Faculty of Mathematics. She worked at the Faculty of Mining and Geology in Belgrade.

33. Ph. d. Darko Oriljevic (1912-1996), graduated from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade. He obtained his Ph. D. in 1947 in Graz.

34. Ph. D. Jasmina Omerbegovic-Bijelovic (1953), graduated from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade where she also defended her Ph. D. She works at the Faculty of Organizational Scinces in Belgrade.

35. Ph. D. Vejkoslav Orozovic (1943), graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics in Belgrade. He defended his Ph. D. in 1992. He works at VMA, at Clinic of urgent medicine.

36. Ph. D. Borivoje Pavlovic (1941), graduated from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade. He defended his Ph. D. in 1984 at the Faculty of Forestry. Since 1993 he has worked at the Institute of Industry and Forestry of Serbia.

37. Ph. D. Milan Pavlovic (1943), graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade. He defended his Ph. D. in 1988. He works as a professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade and Pristina. He is the head of the Republic Center with the Institute of Medicine and the chief of post-graduate courses at the faculty of Medicine in Belgrade.

38. Ph. D. Milovan Pavlovic (1938), graduated from the Faculty of Economics and obtained his Ph. D. in 1976 at the Faculty of Economics.

39. Ph. D. Dusan Pokorni (1943), graduated from yhe Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade. He obtained his Ph. D. in 1988. He worked in the experimental laboratory of the Institute of Epidemiology at VMA. He is now a professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade.

48. Ph. D. Branivoje Timotic (1938), graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade; obtained his Ph. D. title in 1988 in Belgrade.

49. Ph. D. Milan Topalovic (1946), graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade- section of electronics and telecommunication; works at Belgarde TV.

50. Ph. D. Dobrivoje Toskovic (1927), graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in 1953; obtained his Ph. D. title in 1985; worked at the Republic of Tanzania; works at Architecture and Urbanism Institute of Serbia.

51. Ph. D. Ninoslav Ciric (1951), graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics in Belgrade and obtained his Ph. D. there; works at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering in Belgrade and at Secondary school of Mathematics.

52. Ph. D. Miroslav Cirkovic (1951), graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Belgrade in 1974; obtained the title of Ph. D. in 1986; works at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad.

53. Ph. D. Dobrivoje Filipovic (1926), graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade in 1953 and obtained his Ph. D. title in 1970.

54. Ph. D. Vladimir Filipovic (1938), graduated from the Faculty of Stomatology in Belgrade and obtained his Ph. D. title there; employed by the Faculty of Stomatology in Belgrade.

55. Ph. D. Vojislav Filipovic (1952), graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade and obtained his Ph. D. title there.

56. Ph. D. Milka Cvoric-Guzina (1927), graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade in 1952 and obtained her Ph. D. title in 1976; she is a permanent member of Academy of Medicine.

57. Ph. D. Jelena Blagojevic, graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in Belgrade and obtained her Ph. D. title there.

58. Ph. D. Tanja Pekmezovic, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade and obtained her Ph. D. title there; employed by the same faculty.

59. Ph. D. Zoran Nikolic (1963), graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade; obtained his Ph. D. title in 2000 at the same faculty; works at the Faculty of Law in Srpsko Sarajevo.

61. Mica Popovic- an artist .
62. Ostoja Gordanic Balkanski (1937)- a sculptor.
63. Vladimir Cvetkovic (1941)- a former member of our national basketball team.
64. Dragan Micanovic (1970)- an actor.



65. Vigor Majic (1957)- the founder of the Research Station “Petnica”.
